Package: screen
Version: 4.5.0-3
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

After upgrading from Jessie to Stretch, when I ssh to another computer and then
try to use
atop, nano, and others they fail to run with:
Error opening terminal: screen.xterm-256color.

Running these programs locally within screen gives no problems

A workaround is to do:
export TERM=xterm

Thanks for your help!
C.
