50auto-complete-el.el could helpfully set `ac-dictionary-directories' to
/usr/share/auto-complete/dict which is the packaged dict directory.
(setq ac-dictionary-directories '("/usr/share/auto-complete/dict/"))
This would be per the "Installation" instructions in the auto-complete
manual, but here a setq since before auto-complete.el loads.
Incidentally, in 50auto-complete-el.el the (symbol-name flavor) might
better be (symbol-name debian-emacs-flavor) since the latter is the
documented flavour variable and the former I think only a dynamic
binding out of the startup code.
