Package: libopenscap8
Version: 1.2.8-1ubuntu1
Severity: wishlist

Dear Maintainer,

We are implementing SCAP content based on CIS and STIG compliance rules. A good
portion of these rules are beyond the scope of SCAP and OVAL, and will require
the Script Check Engine (SCE) facility provided by OpenSCAP. However SCE is not
enabled by default, and will require the addition of the "--enable-sce" option
in the "debian/rules" file to turn it on.

We already filed a bug report for Ubuntu
here:https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openscap/+bug/1658792. However
we were told this needs to be fixed at Debian first.

A patch to enable SCE is available here:
https://launchpadlibrarian.net/303863167/openscap-1.2.8.patch

Thank you for your consideration,
Alan Guan
