Package: ifupdown-extra
Version: 0.25
Severity: important
Dear Maintainer,
*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***
* What led up to the situation?
I just installed the package. Note that my shell is bash, even for root.
All commands like ifup eth0 causes complains about syntax, and it seems that
reason is lines like that:
local status=0
Maybe bash do not support that syntax. And there is no hint what shell
I should use to make that work.
And if you set the option
ABORT_NO_LINK=${ABORT_NO_LINK:-no}
in /etc/default/network-test
i cannot get an internet-connection at all, at least without extra work, like
with network-manager.
Sorry for my english, I do not normally write in english, and especially in
very formal context.
