I was hoping I could boot the resulting ISO using syslinux's memdisk, but so far it's failing in my tests with qemu. I tried this: LABEL debian-live KERNEL memdisk APPEND initrd=stressant-stretch-amd64-0.2.iso iso raw i also tried with only "iso" ("bootstrap too large to load"), only "raw" (hangs after "Loading boot sector... booting..."), "harddisk" (same as "raw") and nothing (same as "raw"). I have also tried to make this work with Debian install and Debian live images. So far, they both fail to load their rootfs properly... But I could be doing something wrong with syslinux here... > vmdebootstrap is going to be rearchitected[1] and the future beyond the > stretch release currently looks uncertain. yeah, i read that post - and i'm a bit worried... not sure we want yet another new DSL... it seems we are constantly reinventing d-i here. :) a. -- À mesure que l'opression s'étend à tous les secteurs de la vie, la révolte prend l'allure d'une guerre sociale.
