Package: atop
Version: 2.2.3-1~exp1
Severity: wishlist

Dear Maintainer,

The atop 2.2.3-1~exp1 package introduced a dependency on initscripts,
apparently to ensure /run is present. This is no longer necessary
since base-files now provides /run (since version 6.4). In addition,
it is possible to run a system without initscripts installed at all.

It would be great if you could remove the dependency!

Regards,

Stephen
