Hmm. Could you describe the situation a bit further? i.e. - Which Emacs package was installed on the remote system: emacs24, emacs24-nox, or emacs24-lucid? - Did you install libgl1 to the local system or the remote system to fix the problem? - How exactly were you testing, via ssh -X or ssh -Y, and do you have any ssh config changes that might affect their meaning?
