Dear Maintainer,

It would be nice if snowball was upgraded to the current version from the
new upstream Git [0].

Compared the the current Svn support, that snapshot contains support for new
languages (Arabic, Tamil), new bindings (Python, JSX) and many bug fixes.

I need this for Sphinx which now uses snowball for search.

I have started some initial work at [1], but it was never reviewed.

Below I am copying a part of my private mail:
