I already did it, but now vbox *should* work without root X, and I prefer that way. Upstream patched the GL/EGL stuff to make it work, and Michael told me he was going to upstream patches to official drivers too [1], you might want to ask patches to him, and let your driver work without having need from virtualbox to override them in the way I do right now [1] https://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/16052 (I'm still clueless about this topic, I tried hard to make it work, and now it works :p ) cheers, G.
