So what? There are thousands of other types of system that _can_ be installed... Whether or not this is an important or grave bug for _Debian Installer_ or even Debian in general depends on what the cause of the failure is. If it is that your hardware is not yet supported by the kernel, then: tough luck, you'll just have to wait until support is added by upstream kernel maintainers. If it is a problem in Debian Installer itself or in the Debian kernel packages, then maybe we can fix it. I will leave it to people who actually know about powerpc to judge which is the case, set the appropriate severity for your installation report and reassign it to the appropriate package.
