Package: sane-utils Version: 1.0.25-2+b1 Severity: normal Hi,
According to /var/log/dpkg.log*, I upgraded sane packages (sane-utils, libsane, and libsane-common) on 2016-04-27 on a Debian stable (ie very partial upgrade). It works perfectly for several months. But today, when I want to use my scanner through the network, no scanner are detected by xsane or "scanimage -L" on remote computers. On the server, I got in the syslog: Jan 8 21:53:50 kooot systemd[1]: saned.socket: Too many incoming connections (1) I got only this line, but once per xsane or "scanimage -L" invocation on remote computers. Locally, "scanimage -L" correctly reports my scanner. To workaround this bug, I added one to MaxConnections in /lib/systemd/system/saned.socket, ie MaxConnections=2 With this, I can use my scanner again (by the network). But, of course, I did not try to run two xsane at the same time. I do not know what trigger this change in the behavior. If you want more information, please ask. Regards, Vincent PS: systemd is at 215-17+deb8u5 since 2016-10-03 on the server. And I successfully used my scanner after this date. -- System Information: Debian Release: 8.6 APT prefers stable APT policy: (990, 'stable'), (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'oldstable-updates'), (500, 'oldstable'), (200, 'unstable'), (200, 'testing'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 4.7.0-0.bpo.1-amd64 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=fr_FR.utf8, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages sane-utils depends on: ii adduser 3.113+nmu3 ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.56 ii init-system-helpers 1.22 ii libavahi-client3 0.6.31-5 ii libavahi-common3 0.6.31-5 ii libc6 2.19-18+deb8u6 ii libieee1284-3 0.2.11-12 ii libjpeg62-turbo 1:1.3.1-12 ii libsane 1.0.24-8+deb8u1 ii libsystemd0 215-17+deb8u5 ii libusb-1.0-0 2:1.0.19-1 ii update-inetd 4.43 sane-utils recommends no packages.
