I don't think anybody has looked into the actual cause of the segfault? Disabling the XS parts of Params-Classify for everybody to work around an unknown issue with mod_perl doesn't feel right to me. I assume there's a reason for them to be XS in the first place, be that performance or functionality or something else. I'd be fine with having the pure-perl parts in a separate package or something, but it's a bit late to do that for stretch. Please don't take this as a formal veto or anything; I don't seem to be doing the investigation either (and am not terribly motivated to do so), so I'm not blocking other people to apply workarounds if they feel that's the right thing to do. -- Niko
