We use lightdm-gtk-greeter for our login greeter and customise it ourselves via a .conf file. debian-base only seems to contain wallpaper that our users were not expecting. Since it is a recommended package is an automatic install on the Canonical ISO build system. Would it be possible to change debian-base from a Recommends: to a Suggests: in debian/control ? -- System Information: Debian Release: stretch/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 4.8.0-2-amd64 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages lightdm-gtk-greeter depends on: ii libc6 2.24-8 ii libcairo2 1.14.8-1 ii libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0 2.36.0-1 ii libglib2.0-0 2.50.2-2 ii libgtk-3-0 3.22.5-1 ii liblightdm-gobject-1-0 1.18.2-2 ii libx11-6 2:1.6.4-2 Versions of packages lightdm-gtk-greeter recommends: ii adwaita-icon-theme [gnome-icon-theme-symbolic] 3.22.0-1 ii desktop-base 8.0.2 ii gnome-themes-standard 3.22.2-1 ii policykit-1 0.105-17 lightdm-gtk-greeter suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
