This seems to be a known issue, with many people complaining here: https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=44233&p=831372 as well as a solution found here: https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=78&t=36564&start=25 It seems the range is not properly detected. All the other buttons, and right and down seem to work as expected, but left and up send nothing to the joystick device and leads to nearly working sadness. -- System Information: Debian Release: 8.6 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: armhf (armv7l) Kernel: Linux 3.4.112-sun8i (SMP w/4 CPU cores; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system)
