The only reason I would maybe say no is because that branch is labeled “development release” on the spice site. Looking at their git code commits it seems there is nothing that earth shattering going on.
I have not tested spice for anything other then using it with virt-manager, QEMU desktop VMs. For that it works really well and I have had no problems. Don’t need VMware anymore ... finally!
