Package: network-manager Version: 1.4.2-3 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
Background: I couldn't get NM to reconnect automatically, or even manually in some cases, so I disabled it with ``systemctl disable`` and I call wpa_supplicant and dhclient manually. network-manager does not start automatically on boot anymore. When I updated my system with aptitude (last month), and it upgraded the network-manager package, my internet connection died, because the package upgrade started network-manager (and presumably that conflicted with my wpa_supplicant I already had running.) I'm writing this bug because I think that package upgrades should not start daemons that have been explicitly disabled by the sysadmin. My apologies if there is some additional way I'm supposed to indicate that I don't want network-manager running.
