276006 bogus error message when $TEXINPUTS contains nonexistent directory -------------------------------------------------------------------------- title says all. Fix is attached to the patch:
Sigh. The title says it "all" -- except what the actual message was, and how texi2dvi was invoked. In any case, I get no diagnostic with the texi2dvi currently in cvs (which is vastly changed from 4.8) and this invocation: (export TEXINPUTS=foobar:; texi2dvi info.texi) You should be able to grab texi2dvi from cvs and try it without worrying about any of the other tools. If the problem still happens, please tell me what the error message actually is and what the invocation was.
