Dec 11 21:37:04 runt dhclient[10217]: Killed old client process until i get the hysteresis check messages that seem to bring the madness to an end this is all i have in my /etc/network/interfaces, aside from lo: # The primary network interface allow-hotplug eth0 iface eth0 inet dhcp allow-hotplug wlan0 iface wlan0 inet manual wpa-driver wext wpa-roam /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf # no id_str, 'default' is used as the fallback mapping target iface default inet dhcp i wonder if it has anything to do with /etc/dhcp/dhclient-exit-hooks.d/timesyncd though my DHCP server isn't providing any time servers. i'm going to rename it timesyncd~ so dhclient-script doesn't source it and see what happens, anyway, since i don't need it
