Package: cdebconf Severity: normal We had a "E: Unimplemented function" breakage on Cobalt the last few days. I've investigated this now and found out that the problem is caused by files in ./lib/debian-installer-startup.d/.svn. I'll rebuild rescue now without those SVN dirs, but the interesting observation I made that I still got that cdebconf error when I moved those files to another directory (ignore-svn) on the initrd. It seems something in there is breaking cdebconf and maybe cdebconf can be made more robust. I've attached a tar ball of this dir.
(There were other .svn dirs on the initrd but these didn't cause any problem.) deprecation:~/initrd# find ignore-svn/ ignore-svn/ ignore-svn/README.txt ignore-svn/empty-file ignore-svn/entries ignore-svn/format ignore-svn/prop-base ignore-svn/prop-base/S60rescue-check.svn-base ignore-svn/props ignore-svn/props/S60rescue-check.svn-work ignore-svn/text-base ignore-svn/text-base/S60rescue-check.svn-base ignore-svn/tmp ignore-svn/tmp/prop-base ignore-svn/tmp/props ignore-svn/tmp/text-base ignore-svn/tmp/wcprops ignore-svn/wcprops -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.12-1-686 Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) -- Martin Michlmayr http://www.cyrius.com/
