Dear Matthias,as the freeze is approaching and the fix for this bug is so simple, I took the liberty to prepare an NMU for gnome-packagekit and upload it to DELAYED/5.
Please find my changes attached to this mail, they are based against your git repo on Alioth and could be applied with "git am".
