No. Sorry that I can only try version 1.4.22-3+deb8u2 from jessie and version 1.5.8-1ubuntu1 from Ubuntu xenial, because I have no machine with stretch/sid, but with both of these versions, after turning forwarding off by either editing /etc/default/unbound or taking execute permissions from /etc/resolvconf/update.d/unbound, I get: user@computer:~# host www.google.de ;; connection timed out; no servers could be reached Regards Christoph
