Hello, I was looking at auctex bugs, today, and could not reproduce your problem.
Firstly, you give us two conflicting version for this bugs: your pseudoheader say 11.87-3+deb8u1, but your subject say 11.88-1.2. Then if it is really 11.88-1.2 that fail, could you try again, and if it still failed could you send me a tex file that can't compile. Thanks. -- Rémi Vanicat
