Subject: please include svn2cl in subversion-tools Package: subversion-tools Version: 1.2.3dfsg1-3 Severity: wishlist
Hello, I'm the author of svn2cl [1] a tool to generate a GNU-style ChangeLog similar to what cvs2cl did for cvs (although with svn it's a lot simpler). I would like to make svn2cl available in Debian. I'm a DD so I can package it (and someone else also did an ITP [2]) but I wonder, because it's such a small package, if it could be made part of the subversion-tools package. I have tried contacting subversion upstream [3] to have svn2cl included in the tools directory but have not had any response. Do you think it is best to package svn2cl as a separate package or include it in subversion-tools (this would add a dependency on xsltproc to subversion-tools) or do you have another suggestion (e.g. a different contact point for upstream)? I have no problem with either solution but I just thought I'd check.
