Hi Yaroslav, do you plan to package cython 0.25 or apply the patch in time for stretch? We plan to upload SageMath in the beginning of December and we need this patch for it to build.
If I don't hear from you, I may eventually do a NMU with the patched 0.24.1. If you want I could also package cython 0.25.1 instead and upload that. Let me know if you need help.
