Hm, this is very weird. If the -4 fixes things, then the manual page is definitely not correct, since it says that -4 is the default. Also, I wonder how it can get an IPv4 address from the DHCP server, but not get an IPv4 DNS server from it. Can you show me the configuration of your DHCP server?
