Sounds similar enough, but I think this possibly a duplicate of https://bugs.debian.org/764650 (FTBFS with noatime mounts). > Would this be a bug if we were using NFS instead of sbuild > with overlayfs? Probably, since the test suite contains a guard around these tests to not execute them if running on NFS. In case it's an issue similar to NFS, maybe we need a guard for overlayfs, too? > If not, feel free to downgrade to wishlist, but it would be nice if > this never failed anyway so that I don't have to special-case this > package in my test builds. Hrm. A few questions, hopefully leading into the right direction: * Can you show me the output of "mount" of such an overlayfs mount point? * Does overlayfs support atimes? If not, this the likelyhood that this is a duplicate of #764650 is very high. If it supports atimes only optionally, can you enable them in your build and see if the issue vanishes? * Can you verify that this failure is deterministic, i.e. do 10 builds and see if all of them fail in the same way? (zsh unfortunately has a history of occassional non-deterministic and hard to debug test suite failures or hangs, see e.g. https://bugs.debian.org/760061) Regards, Axel -- ,''`. | Axel Beckert <a...@debian.org>, http://people.debian.org/~abe/ : :' : | Debian Developer, ftp.ch.debian.org Admin `. `' | 4096R: 2517 B724 C5F6 CA99 5329 6E61 2FF9 CD59 6126 16B5 `- | 1024D: F067 EA27 26B9 C3FC 1486 202E C09E 1D89 9593 0EDE
