as already written in that github bug, I'm unable to reproduce this problem. Are you for example able to create a chroot and install and configure sbuild from scratch inside that chroot and still reproduce that problem? I just want to be sure that there is no external influence. By providing a step-by-step instruction how to setup that chroot, we could eliminate that we are running different configurations.
