Package: xdg-utils
Version: 1.1.1-1
Severity: normal
Tags: upstream

Dear Maintainer,

on a fresh Debian Stretch installation ( debian-stretch-DI-
alpha7-amd64-netinst.iso image, installed on 2016-10-30 ), xdg-open does not
use the application that it should (as far as I understand):

Steps to reproduce:

1. Create a file text.c with following content:
"
#include <stdio.h>

int main ()
{

  return 0;
}
"

2. Run xdg-mime query filetype test.c
> text/x-csrc

3. Run xdg-mime query default text/x-csrc
> vim.desktop

4. Run xdg-open test.c
libreoffice writer is starting and opens test.c

Kind Regards,
  David
