* Knot Resolver now starts and runs under unprivileged user and uses a socket activations to bind on the privileged ports. That means that if you use anything more complicated than that you need to either override the default service file with `systemd edit knot-resolver.service`, or just disable it and provide your own custom system service file tailored to your needs. -- Ondřej Surý <ond...@debian.org> Thu, 04 Aug 2016 09:04:53 +0200 0 test@host:~$ dpkg -L knot-resolver | grep systemd /lib/systemd /lib/systemd/system /lib/systemd/system/kresd-control.socket /lib/systemd/system/kresd-tls.socket /lib/systemd/system/kresd.service /lib/systemd/system/kresd.socket 0 test@host:~$ the NEWS file should match the actual names of the .service file shipped. --dkg -- System Information: Debian Release: stretch/sid APT prefers testing-debug APT policy: (500, 'testing-debug'), (500, 'testing'), (200, 'unstable-debug'), (200, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental-debug'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.7.0-1-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages knot-resolver depends on: ii dns-root-data 2015052300+h+1 ii libc6 2.24-5 ii libdnssec2 2.3.1-1 ii libgnutls30 3.5.5-4 ii libhiredis0.13 0.13.3-2 ii libknot4 2.3.1-1 ii liblmdb0 0.9.18-4 ii libluajit-5.1-2 2.0.4+dfsg-1 ii libmemcached11 1.0.18-4.1 ii libmemcachedutil2 1.0.18-4.1 ii libnettle6 3.3-1 ii libsystemd0 231-9 ii libuv1 1.9.1-3 ii libzscanner1 2.3.1-1 ii lua-sec 0.5.1-1 ii lua-socket 3.0~rc1+git+321c0c9-1 Versions of packages knot-resolver recommends: pn knot-resolver-module-http <none> knot-resolver suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
