hmm, that's not good news. thanks for the detailed report, but 
i've got a few extra questions: what versions of gnupg and/or gnupg2 do
you have on your system? do you happen to have any gpg-agent processes?

likely not related - this time, but you never know - i see that
you're using a non-ascii locale. does the problematic behaviour change if
you run this under LC_CTYPE=C?
