The architecture is i386.
I've just built thunar from the current svn snapshot and it runs fine.

I forgot to say that I launched Thunar from Gnome (Xfce were not installed).
Now, I've just installed xfce-4.2.3 (and all its dependencies) and I get
the following output (running from Gnome or from Xfce results the same):
$ thunar

What architecture is this on though? i.e. i386/alpha/mips etc.
