Hi all, + 1 on the idea to have youtube-dl a bit more current. Otherwise as users we would be left to purge the official package and try using it directly from upstream. This is and will be bad for users as we would be running unknown code whereas there is a bit of trust element in whatever packages Debian provides.
Look forward to an updated release please. Also if I have to file a bug about a site-support which I like to do and come across, having a current version makes it easier otherwise I have to go to the IRC channel and ask if 'x' channel is supported or not before making the ticket. All in all, we would welcome a new release, hoping to see a new release soonish as well as hope to releases all through freeze via experimental as well.
