After googling around for a while I found reports of other people having similar issues where it was related to multi screen issues. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=367828 I do indeed have 2 screens connected. However, neither of the 2 screens shows anything. Moreover, only very few KDE processes are running, so it seems unlikely that KDE is just being displayed at some non-existant 3rd phantom screen (much more processes would be running in that case) Regards, Alain
