Hello, thanks for your additional information but unfortunately I don't know how to interpret your strace output. I find it still unlikely that extremetuxracer is the root cause because the game (or the packaging) has not changed in months. It is rather related to your video card driver, the X server, SDL or window manager. What happens if you try to play other games like caveexpress, freeorion or redeclipse? Do you experience the same behavior or is extremetuxracer the only affected game? Regards, Markus
