Hi,I have exactly the same problem, and I noticed that I can avoid this long timeout by either :
- unplugging my network cable or - disabling esd at startup (in menu desktop->prefs->sound) Does anyone have a similar behaviour?It seems esd tries to read the startup sound, and blocks until some timeout occurs.
