Package: mozc-utils-gui Version: 1.15.1857.102-1+b1 Followup-For: Bug #700307
Dear Maintainer, This bug is still present in Jessie as of today. Here is my report. * Recently installed packages `mozc-data, mozc-server, mozc-utils-gui, uim- mozc`. Running `/usr/lib/mozc/mozc_tool` with some modes, `-mode=dictionary_tool`, or modes `register_dialog`, or `character_palette` gives me errors: ```$> /usr/lib/mozc/mozc_tool -mode=dictionary_tool [libprotobuf ERROR google/protobuf/descriptor_database.cc:57] File already exists in database: session/candidates.proto [libprotobuf FATAL google/protobuf/descriptor.cc:1018] CHECK failed: generated_database_->Add(encoded_file_descriptor, size): terminate called after throwing an instance of 'google::protobuf::FatalException' what(): CHECK failed: generated_database_->Add(encoded_file_descriptor, size): Aborted``` * removing package `uim-mozc` solves the problem! However, invoking the same command on the command line gives printed error: ```$>/usr/lib/mozc/mozc_tool -mode=dictionary_tool Error: in string-append: string required but got: #f libuim: [fatal] an unhandled error raised from Scheme interpreter libuim: All functionality has been disabled to save user application data. libuim: [fatal] an unhandled error raised from Scheme interpreter libuim: [fatal] All functionality has been disabled to save user application data.``` * However, removing `uim-mozc` is not an option for some people (me included). * I believe this bug is closed upstream.
