Package: recode Version: 3.6-12 Severity: normal
using recode on a symlink breaks the symlink and replace it with the recoded file of the same name. Which is not the awaited behaviour. I suppose recode creates a new file and then rename it, it sould resolve potential symlinks before doing that, or work somehow in place (which is not possible when converting from any 8bit charset to utf-8 e.g.) -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.15-1-amd64-k8 Locale: LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) (ignored: LC_ALL set to fr_FR.UTF-8) Versions of packages recode depends on: ii libc6 2.3.5-12 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii librecode0 3.6-12 Shared library on which recode is recode recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
