Package: vim Version: 2:8.0.0003-1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer, I wasn't done with the other bug, so here's a new one.
It apparently is impossible to globally disable the mouse. This # echo set mouse=\"\" >> /etc/vim/vimrc has no effect whatsoever, if the users don't have their own local ~/.vimrc, which is not what I would expect from a system wide configuration file.
