Thanks for reporting this issue. I'm very disappointed that the introduction of the default-libmysqlclient-dev packages now immediately results in RC bugs. For now I've changed the dependency to default-libmysqlclient-dev, but I'm considering dropping MySQL/MariaDB support because of my disappointment in its maintainers.
