Package: libpam0g-dev
Version: 1.1.8-3.2
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

This is about the libpam0g[-dev] package.

For libpam0g package, I currently have version 1.1.8-3.1+deb8u1+b1 installed.

I am attempting to install libpam0g-dev using:

    # apt-get install libpam0g-dev

It comes back as:

    Reading package lists... Done
    Building dependency tree
    Reading state information... Done
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
     libpam0g-dev : Depends: libpam0g (= 1.1.8-3.1+deb8u1+b1) but 1.1.8-3.2 is
to be installed
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

I thought that the actual outcome should have been a successful install of the
dev-variant of this libpam0g package.

I think the dev package is missing.
