Evolution launches normally but if the user takes any action that would result in displaying an email, the it segfaults with the error : (evolution:14698): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_object_ref: assertion 'object->ref_count > 0' failed /var/log/syslog contains messages like : kernel: [22296.533558] evolution[14698]: segfault at 0 ip 00007fb52d12450a sp 00007fffe8f79b20 error 4 in libgobject-2.0.so.0.4906.0[7fb52d116000+51000] The problem was caused by libglib2.0 being pulled in from testing somehow, apt tooling could not detect or correct the problem because it did not recognize the conflict with evolution.
