Just to confirm this but "still" appears in 2.2.2+dfsg-1. In fact, it only just appeared after latest upgrade, but as I am a bit lazy in upgradin my sid systems, I have no idea what the previous version was. It was certainly newer than the original reporter's version. I tried running owncloud under strace but then it suddenly behaves normally, so could not even find out WHAT it is doing consuming all my cpu.
