This is because you didn't download a daily built image from http://www.debian.org/devel/debian-installer as I recommended. Go to the "If you'd like something newer" section and select the businesscard CD image in these daily builds. This image will need network access during the install so if you're on a dialup connection, that will be a problem for you but at least this will help sorting out this problem of recognition of your network card. So, either your network card will be recognized and you'll be prompted to setup the network and everything is fine.....or it isn't and then you'll swith to console 2 and run the lspci commands I mentioned to you. We really need the PCI ID of your network card if it isn't recognized.
