In short, the sound didn't work..... Which is not "grave" per se and anyway doesn't pertain to the installer itself but more to the sound packages.... Unfortunately, sound setting is probably still not straight out of the box.... I have no clue about all this, given the nightmare that sound handling is in Linux ;..so I even don't know where this should be reassigned...
