I have a pre-built Caja package available for Debian Unstable that works with GTK 3.21 though it provides all the caja .deb packages in one package: https://archive.org/download/DebianPackagesForMate-desktopWityGtk3AndCustomPanelTheme/caja-gtk3.22_1.15.4-11uke1_amd64.deb when the package is replaced that link will break but the site is https://archive.org/download/DebianPackagesForMate-desktopWityGtk3AndCustomPanelTheme
