As this may be non-obvious, the way to check in files >= 2GB is to use PRISTINE_TAR_XDELTA=xdelta3 env variable before invoking pristine-tar (see man pristine-tar for more info). Note, however, that xdelta3 deltas are only checkout-able from the version >= 1.35. It is very likely that xdelta3 will become the default in the future.
