I have two systems, one virtualbox and the other bare, that cannot boot debian testing or sid correctly when booting from SSD. Systemd is failing to start accounts-daemon and NetworkingManager. Steps to reproduce: 1. setup Virtualbox VM. 2. Select Solid State Disk on the sata virtual hard drive 3. Install Debian (Debian-testing-amd64-netinst.iso) 4. The system does not correctly boot, accounts-daemon and Networking are not starting.. 5. Turn off the VM. 6. Untick the Solid State Disk option in VirtualBox 7. Turn VM on. 8. System boots correctly. 9. Turn VM off 9, Setting the Solid State Disk option 10. System does not boot correctly, etc... Related software * Virtualbox 5.1.4 * Host: OSX El Capitan 10.11.6 on Macbook Pro, 2,6GHz i5, 16GB, 256GB SSD. Additional information * An Intel NUC with I3-6100u with 120GB SSD does boot correctly. * An Intel Sandy Bridge CPU based Desktop with 60GB SSD does not boot correctly, same symptoms as the virtual machine. Interesting part is that systemd is waiting for accounts-daemon to startup, if I press some random keys or just switch VT's it will continue booting.
