Package: libadios-dev
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

on debian stretch (and probably previous versions) the command
  adios_config

is used to determine install properties.

Unfurtunately, the DIR= option or
  adios_config -d
is empty but instead it should return /usr as the include and lib dirs are
populated with it.

This is problematic for down-stream developers (like me) that rely on that
output for their CMake and Makefile scripts.

Changing it to correctly return
  DIR=/usr
and so
  adios_config -d
to return
  /usr
could fix it.

Thank you for considering!
