corruption of mail is certainly grave but not if I don't have a 
second report or a way to reproduce this. So escalating to important
for now.

How can you know this? You found a way to reproduce this with a fresh 
profile?

Would be nice to get this reproducible starting with a clean profile. 
If you find ways to get tbird in such a state, please let me know.
