Package: libval14
Version: 2.0-1.1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

An hour ago, irssi segfaulted (when idle) for me and then refused to start
any longer. I found out it's down to the OFTC connection and using SSL. I can
still use Freenode with SSL.

Now I can reproduce it every time with irssi config options:

{ address = "irc.oftc.net"; chatnet = "OFTC"; port = "6697";
use_ssl = "yes"; ssl_cert = "~/.irssi/mirv.pem"; ssl_verify = "yes"; },

....after typing in /connect OFTC.

I've rebooted and tried switching irssi to a newer jessie backport
(0.8.19-1~bpo8+1), but nothing changes.

The backtrace is:

Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.
